Kapiky came to us early summer of 2014 after being born to Bibi, a Coton of Lindas who is Adrianes mom. We initially thought we would just like to have a Coton since we had been around them for 20+ years but also had an inkling we may want to potentially try breeding her depending on how she developed. She bonded very quickly to our daughter who we affectionally call "peanut" and early on Kapiky was also called peanut then P2 (P squared). Our daughters twin brother, who had been naming Lindas dog with Malagasy names for a few years, then decided to look up "peanut" in Malagasy and thus Kapiky became her name.
Kapiky is a very rambunctious Coton who is also a leaper. Like most Cotons she is very happy to see her family but will actually jump from the ground into your arms especially when you aren't watching. One of her favorite spots is on the back rest of our couch and she doesn't bother going to the front then climbing up...not many Cotons are known as leapers but she jumps straight up. Since our kids spend a lot of time playing ball sports she has also become quite the fetcher and shows perhaps a bit more of the hunter than many Cotons do.
She has had two litters now and we are considering the possibility of a third one in the spring of 2018.
